Address trauma from the root of where it is stored in the body.
Meg helps her clients release years of anxiety, depression and trauma with her unique neuro-somatic approach creating physiological shifts in the autonomic nervous system.
One thing we know about trauma is that attachment is the core of all trauma. Attachment has been called "The Master Key" through which all forms of psychopathology are accessed. When we heal attachment patterns in the body, all other pathologies follow.
Working from the level of the body’s operating system where dysregulations reside, Meg assists her clients to metabolize long held traumas and grief transforming old traumas into new beginnings of expanded well-being.

Nature deficit disorder is a phrase coined by Richard Louv in his 2005 book, "Last Child in the Woods", meaning human beings, especially developing children today, are spending less time outdoors resulting in a decline in physical and mental health and wellbeing.
In today's world of pervasive video gaming, social media and other forms of addictive screentime, we face new threats to our ability to experience healthy brain chemistry. This has direct impacts to our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Nature Immersion is a powerful option for adolescents and young adults where individual therapy sessions are conducted on a nature trail just north of Meg's office. This meeting begins with a short 1/2 mile walk providing 10 minutes of movement followed by the neuro-somatic counseling while in the healing context of nature.
Young people today face a host of complex challenges that even a few years ago, did not exist. Growing inequities, new technologies and increased violence in our schools and towns... These are just a few of the trends reshaping the landscape of childhood today. In the face of such changes, both parents and young people are finding themselves ill-equipped to navigate these new realities.
Working with a specialized professional counselor can be an essential component to developing a support structure for the healthy development of your child.
For families experiencing power-struggles and behavioral challenges Meg offers family coaching. Through family coaching all behavior is recognized as communication and through the coaching process, key communications are facilitated allowing for traumas to be addressed in the restoration of wellbeing for the child and family.
Meg works with families from a systemic approach focusing on both the child and the family system as a whole. With this in mind, each individual therapy session includes a 10-15 minute component at the end with mom and dad that we can all be on the same page in the child's healing process.
Meg specializes in working with:
•Families with Spirited Children • Adoptive Families • Blended Families •Families with Gifted Children
